When designing the perfect air purifier system, the engineers at Austin Air, began with the most critical piece first, the filter. Unlike many of the air purification systems on the market today, the 360 degree air intake gathers 250 cubic feet of contaminated air from all sides of each unit thus maximizing contaminant take in and also clean air delivery by way of a 4-stage filtration system.
Each Austin Air systems unit uses a True Hepa Filter that was developed by the Atomic Energy Commission to protect the respiratory system in human beings, is also used in hospitals and military applications.
A true Hepa or “High Efficiency Particulate Air” filter removes particles as small as 0.3 microns in size (99.97%) and even small particles 0.1 microns and smaller (95%) from the air.
Combined with activated carbon which chemically binds contaminants to it due in part to its highly porous nature, each Austin Air Systems unit removes chemicals and volatile organic compounds (VOC’s), noxious gases and other allergens which can seriously affect your quality of life.
Austin Air Systems units also DO NOT PRODUCE OZONE which is a toxic by-product produced by some electrostatic precipitators and ionic generators.
Each filter and activated carbon system is housed in a non-toxic, powder-coated, painted steel body for superior strength and performance.
To showcase the integrity and superior quality of Austin Air Systems units; all testing is performed by third-party labs such as Battelle Labs and the US Army Corp of Engineers and must meet the strictest government standards.
